For ease, when you are ready to switch your SnuzSurface Pro to the next support level, we have included an instruction label on the inside of the cover, so you can simply unzip your mattress face down and follow the illustrated steps, to change the level of support.
How do I know how to order the layers?
Don't worry, it's really easy and everything is clearly set out on a label inside your mattress.
When do I need to change the firmness?
SnuzSurface Pro comes set up for use in stage 1, a firm support that is recommended for babies up to 12 months. So, you won't need to change anything until your baby has grown to become a playful toddler, and they want a more supple surface.
Yes, the top surface of the cover has a waterproof membrane (white side) and it can also be removed and machine washed up to 40 degrees.
How will the mattress be packaged?
SnuzSurface Pro will come rolled and vacuum-packed. Please ensure the mattress is removed from the packaging and unroll immediately. Allow to rest flat for 7 days before use.
How do I unpack the mattress?
Use the attached cutter to carefully remove plastic from the mattress, do not use a knife as you may damage the mattress. Lie the mattress flat with the white side up, and leave to breathe and form its shape for 7 days before using.
How do I clean the mattress?
The mattress cover is removable and machine washable up to 40 degrees. Do not wash or dry clean the fillings. If the item becomes soiled, spot clean lightly only with warm water and a mild detergent. Allow to dry completely and naturally away from direct sunlight."
Should I use a mattress protector?
Although the mattress cover is waterproof, we do recommend using a mattress protector for ease of use, and to keep the mattress in perfect condition.
Does the Mattress Come With A Guarantee?
Yes, the SnuzSurface Pro comes with a 5-year guarantee against manufacturing or material defects.
Can I Use Standard Sized Sheets?
All the Cot & Cot Bed sheets on the Snuz website will fit the SnuzSurface Pro mattress range. If you source sheets from elsewhere we recommend checking the dimensions of those sheets to ensure that they will fit your mattress correctly.

In short, no. The mattresses are visually constructed very similarly, however, the technical internal make up and materials are different. These different compositions have been tailored to the unique features and functions of the mattress, to offer the very best support to your baby.

If I want to extend my SnuzKot mattress with the extension piece, do I need to replace my mattress?
This depends how long you’ve been using your Surface mattress for. When using the SnuzSurface Pro mattress with the SnuzKot from birth to conversion into a junior bed, we recommend following the advice provided by The Sleep Charity and the National Bed Federation to change the mattress once it's 7 years old.
We suggest simply purchasing another SnuzSurface Pro mattress to use with the SnuzKot extension piece. However, this advice is always at the discretion of the parent or caregiver who truly knows how much use and resulting wear and tear the mattress has received.
