However, the Cybex Cloud T has been rated best in class by ADAC, a German automobile club that assesses the safety of child car seats. As a new to the market seat the Cybex Cloud G is awaiting ADAC test results. The Cybex Cloud T has a better side-impact protection system teamed with the seat shell, taking 25%* of the impact off the child, thanks to its telescopic linear side-impact protection (L.S.P.) system, which absorbs the energy in case of a side-impact collision. However, the Cloud G offers built in linear side impact protection taking 15%* of the impact off the child in the instance of a side collision. Due to the LSP being built into the Cloud G, this is also a slightly narrower seat, which might be suitable for parents with more than one car seat in the rear.

Recline Functionality:

The Cybex Cloud G and the Cybex Cloud T infant car seats have different recline systems. The Cybex Cloud G has a semi-recline system that allows you to adjust the angle of the seat according to your baby's comfort levels. On the other hand, the Cybex Cloud T has a more advanced recline system that is controlled by a lever at the base of the car seat. This system allows you to adjust the angle of the seat to an almost flat position, making it ideal for newborns who need to lie down more often.

Weight & Portability:

Both the Cybex Cloud G and the Cybex Cloud T infant car seats are lightweight and easy to carry around. However, the Cybex Cloud G is slightly lighter weighing 3.9kgs than the Cybex Cloud T weighing 4.5kgs, making it easier to move around when carrying your baby along with the car seat. The Cybex Cloud G also has a more compact design, making it easier to fit into smaller cars or in the rear with multiple car seats.

Travel-Friendly Features:

Both the Cybex Cloud G and the Cybex Cloud T infant car seats are travel-friendly, making them ideal for parents who are always on-the-go. Both are compatiable with almost all pushchairs making it easy to change from car to stroller. However, the Cybex Cloud G has an advantage over the Cybex Cloud T due to its innovative design it fits snugly into an airplane seat, allowing you to take it with you on family trips. Like the Cloud T, it can also be secured with just a seatbelt, so you can leave your Base G or Base T at home. Giving you the freedom to roam while your child stays secure.

Rotation Mechanism & Longevity of Use:

The accompanying isofix base of the Cybex Cloud G and the Cybex Cloud T infant car seats have a rotation mechanism that makes it easier to place your baby in and out of the car seat. Both the Base G and the Base T allows you to rotate the car seat, making it easier to place your baby in or out of the car. Both bases can be used up to 4 years with the next stage Sirona G and Sirona T car seats.

Age Limit and Colour/Fabric Options:

Both the Cybex Cloud G and the Cybex Cloud T infant car seats can be used from birth up to 13kg or up to approx 24 months or a maxium height of 87cm. However, the Cybex Cloud G could be a good choice for smaller babies with a starting height of 40cm vs 45cm for the Cloud T, but both seats do come with a newborn insert offering a more padded out space for newborn babies. The Cloud G also offers 14 individual head rest height positions vs. 12 positions for the Cloud T, so it is a little more customisable as your baby grows. Both infant car seats have a variety of colour options to choose from, allowing you to select a car seat that matches your style and preference, but the Cloud T pips the Cloud G with aerated upgraded fabrics, which increase air circulation for longer journeys, plus the Cloud T has a wider colour selection.

Choosing the right infant car seat is crucial for your baby's safety and comfort. The Cybex Cloud G and the Cybex Cloud T are both great options, but it ultimately comes down to your personal preference and needs. If you need a car seat that lies-flat and has a second stage option, the Cybex Cloud T is the best choice.
